This summer, we are happy to offer some very unique camps for our students. We have a variety of camps for two different age groups. We are offering half-day camps and full day camps. These camps are entertaining, informative and fun.  Our older group camps are focused on engaging students to explore, discover, work in teams, imagine and experience in a fun and creative way so they won’t even notice they are learning new skills and facts!  We will begin registration for currently enrolled DTPT families including siblings the week of March 8th-March 12th and open enrollment will begin March 15th.

Cost of Summer Camps at DTPT: This year we will be offering 3 different camp options.

5 days a week (M-F) am or pm sessions:  $160.00 a week.

3 days a week (T-W-TH) am or pm sessions:  $97.00 a week.

1 day a week/droop in session am or pm: $35.00 a day

Full day camps are available for 5 days a week:  $240.00 a week (Parent must provided Lunch)

Discounts: We offer 10% discount for any family enrolling two or more children as well as enrolling a child for two or more camps. The discount will be applied to the second and consecutive camps.  Please note you most register for all camps at the same time to receive the discount.  No discounts will be giving if enrolling in multiples camps separately.

Referrals: Please help us to pass the word that DTPT is going to be having wonderful unique summer camps and if you refer a friend you will get an extra 10%. Off.  We appreciated your support.   

Outside play: The children will be having outside activities everyday and water will be part of the fun, so please make sure they apply sunscreen before coming to the camp and always bring an extra set of clothes.

SUMMER CAMPS PROGRAMS
Eight Weeks of AM & PM camps for children "ages 3-5"
June 16 - August 15

Cooking with Math - Everything kitchen helpers need to perfect their cooking AND math skills! Your child will enjoy cutting, rolling, spreading, stirring, mashing, kneading, mixing, sorting, shaping, classifying and more, as they practice being a chef. All recipes are single serving, so every child will make each of the recipes from start to finish! Allergy note: Nuts and obvious nut products will not knowingly be used in any of our activities/recipes.

Young Scientists - Make fantastic fizzes and slimy surprises mix your own colors and cook up biotic treats! Shaping young scientific thinkers means teaching kids to ask lots of questions and experiment.
Your “mad scientist” will love making sticky slimes, discovering scales, playing with magnets, magnifying glasses and more, while learning about the amazing world of science.

Enchanted Forest - In a land far, far away we will venture together into an enchanted forest where unicorns still exist and the tree fairies fly. A place where time forgot and DTPT remembers as our imagination runs where the wild things roam. We’ll be on the look-out for trolls and giant ogres as we follow the path that leads us back home!...

Under the Sea – We’ll explode water tornados, bubbles, sand shells and every animal you will find in the sea through imaginative play, interactive activities and crafts. You child can dance, sing and play while learning something new! Grab a wetsuit and dive into the fun! This class will involve water play, dry clothes will need to accompany these “sea monsters” every day of class.

Dino Mania - Designed for the aspiring paleontologist with tons of activities, stories, songs, skill-builders and games centered on the ancient reptiles they love! Make dino arts and crafts, learn the names of favorite dinosaurs, make dino tooth necklaces, play matching games and even try hatching dino baby in an egg! This camp is sure to give your little paleontologist his fill of these enormous but at DTPT loveable creatures.

Crazy for Critters – Students will explode the extraordinary world of animals as they learn about fearsome predators, crafty camouflages, tender parents, and mammals that defy gravity! We’ll dance and sing, hear stories, meet some live animals, make snacks for the class & learn about what animals eat. Group activities will include puzzles and science while we investigate what makes these critters so amazing. Don’t miss out on all the furry, scaly, slimy fun!

Tea Party – Your little princess will enjoy dance time, dress-up and giggling over delightful make-believe tea parties, where they will learn real princess etiquette. A special visit from her favorite princess will wrap up this camp’s special celebration at Cinderella’s Ball. Don’t forget each day to come in full princess fashion with her favorite hats, boas and gloves!

Pirates & Villains – Ahoy there mateys. Back again this summer is one of DTPT’s most popular camps. We will set sail on the open sea in search of the “buried” treasure hidden here at the school. We’ll get your eye patch ready and your bandannas pulled tight as we follow the map that leads to the gold!

Chugga Chugga Choo Choo – Learn all about the exciting worlds of trains and trucks. Build tracks and take a trip through your imagination. We will build our own life size train and have a big parade on the last day of class. This class is sure to bring out the conductor in your little guy, so come and join us… all aboard!

Eight Weeks of camps for children "ages 6 and Up"
June 16 - August 15

Get a Clue - Young aspiring Sherlock Holmes will love discovering the mystery behind science, and the science behind mystery! We’ll sharpen our logic and detective skills by starting each day with a riddle. We’ll learn about a real mystery from our history-rich community. We’ll refine our problem solving skills by cracking codes, finding fingerprints, going on scavenger hunts, exploring optical illusions and more. We’ll wrap up our camp by working together as a team to collect clues and solve a real mystery!

Cooking & Baking with Science – We let the young chefs out of the kitchen and take them on field trips to discover the exciting word of food chemistry! Cook your very own example of the featured food every day after investigating the science behind it. Field trips may include Cupcake Heaven, Foster Grille or Guiseppe’s Ristorante. Add some tasty science to your summer and let us kick it up a notch. Bam! Allergy note: Nuts and obvious nut products will not knowingly be used in any of our activities/recipes.

Dance with High School Musical - Schools out… Summer time … it’s our vacation! This camp is sure to bring out the HSM school spirit in your wildcat! We will enjoy singing, dancing and creativity in this “rockin” camp. The kids will also explore the world of dance through motion using different types of dance. Learn the basics of ballet, jazz, modern and lyrical while understanding how these styles flow together. The week will end with a special performance by the entire class that will be a big hit … you can Bet on it!

Eco Explorers Art - Keep Haymarket green! We’ll explode things kids can do to make an impact on our Earth. We’ll learn about sustainable farming, the importance of recycling and water conservation! We’ll do our part to help the planet by making a mechanical trash grabber, homemade water filter. We will also work on our ABC garden every day. How many ways can you think to help save “Mother Earth” Learn how to go green with DTPT!

The Ocean Deep – We’ll explore waves, properties of water, sand, shells and learn about how jellyfish, whales, turtles and sharks survive and thrive in the great blue… through imaginative math, science, books and group activities. Discover what sinks and float, learn how sand is made, hold a real shark tooth. We will even bring in your own ocean wonders to share with the class. This camp is sure to be a splash!

Which Witch? – This camp will explore the exciting world of wizards, warlocks and witches! Students will have fun hearing age appropriate stories about this mysterious world. Dance to their favorite songs from your favorite witch from Wizards of Waverly Place and others! They will learn how to make invisible ink, write secret code and other tricks of the trade.

Creative Memories – Why have an excuse not to learn how to display your pictures in a beautiful, colorful book. For one week bring in your pictures from years past to present and learn how to put them in a scrapbook to capture memories. We will learn how to layer, border, layout and use creativity to make a scrapbook worthy for everyone to look at. You can use this knowledge in years to come because memories will stay forever.

Big Top Circus – Come one, come all, step right this way and get your year tickets for this year DTPT Big Top Circus. A fun Time for all as we explore all that goes on under the big top. From acrobats, tight rope walkers, the ring master and don’t forget the clowns! We’ll learn about the animal that performs everyday, the amazing makeup, the cool tricks and we will finish this great camp with an amazing performance the last day of camp. Come and join the Fun!
